Present – Millie Rafferty, Jacob Hamblett, Ashleigh Davies, George Kalirai-Peters, Gaby Matthews, George Morris, Christine Roop, Joe Edwards, Thomas Walker, Leighton Birch Eve Cowieson, Elliot Goss, Toby Gallagher-Keenan, Charles Minshull ,Kate Rundle, Miss Evans, Miss Jones and Mrs Norbury

 

Issues Raised

Year 6: Year 6 wanted a shelter outside on the playground.

Dosb G: Dosb G raised no issues

Year 5/6: Year 5/6 wanted more outside activities such as draig challenge and plastic goal posts for football.

Dosb E: Dosb E wanted more activities for wet play.

Year 5: Year 5 wanted an after school cookery club.

Dosb D: Dosb D wanted more wet play games and new videos for lunchtime.

Year 4: Year 4 wanted a class pet such as a hamster. 1 pet for key stage 1 and another for key stage 2.

Year 1: Year 1 Wanted more benches on the yard and air fresheners for the boys toilets.

Year 3 /4: Year 3 /4 wanted a healthy snack shop for people who forget their snacks

Year 1 /2:  Year 1 /2 wanted a reading area outside to read books during break times.

Year 3: Year 3 wanted more break time activities.

Year 2: Year 2 wanted some toys for break time.

 

It was decided that the executive committee would meet with Mrs Hogburn to discuss wet play activities and break time activities. The school council put together a box of wet play games last year and they are not been used.

Miss Jones will ask the staff if anyone would like to run a cookery club and are they all happy to have a class pet.

Everyone thought a healthy snack shop was a good idea and Jacob suggested that the School Council carry out a survey to find out which snacks children would buy and find out how much would we need to charge for fruit?

Mrs Carlson would be asked to put more air fresheners in the toilets.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 21^st 2009

Present – Millie Rafferty, Jacob Hamblett, Ashleigh Davies, George Kalirai-Peters, Gaby Matthews, George Morris, Christine Roop, Joe Edwards, Thomas Walker, Leighton Birch Eve Cowieson, Elliot Goss, Toby Gallagher-Keenan,

Charles Minshull ,Kate Rundle, Miss Evans, Miss Jones and Mrs Norbury

 

Healthy Snack- We all shared some breadsticks, carrot sticks and grapes.

 

 Played a game -We all played a game to get to know each other. We had to ask children different questions about themselves and the first one to fill in the sheet won.  Ashleigh won this game.

 

 Elected Executive Committee- Everyone elected children from year 5 and 6 to be Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. Ashleigh was voted as chairperson, George Kalirai-Peters was voted vice-chairperson, Millie Rafferty was voted secretary and Gaby Matthews was voted as treasurer.

 

Next meeting will be November 19th 2008 at 10 o’clock.
